The Robbinsdale Whiz Bang Days Committee has seen several comments come across regarding the decision to shoot the fireworks off early on Sunday evening. The committee was made aware of the severe weather that was approaching the Robbinsdale area and in conjunction with Robbinsdale Police Department, we decided to get as close to 10pm as possible while still keeping in mind the safety of the everyone watching the fireworks. At 9:30 the decision was made to go ahead and start because the storm was far enough away that we knew after the fireworks were done everyone could get home safely. We are very sorry that we had to start early but felt it was the best decision based on the information we had.
